Mark has a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance from the University of Otago and a background in finance and property in roles with Hendry Hay MacIntosh, Force Corporation Limited and Village Roadshow Australia Pty Limited. Mark formed Augusta Group Limited in 2001 and began property syndication through Augusta Funds Management in 2003. Mark is also a director of a number of private companies.
Prior to his return to New Zealand in 2014, Joel worked at Aviva Investors (London) where he worked his way from Analyst to Fund Manager and ultimately held the position of Senior Director – Real Estate. In that position, he was responsible for management of the £4 billion Aviva Life & Pensions real estate investment portfolio. On his return to New Zealand, Joel has worked at Panuku Development Auckland and was, until recently, the Head of Business Development and Project Director.
Simon has a commerce degree majoring in accountancy and is a Chartered Accountant. Simon has a strong financial background including roles with BDO Spicers, UK experience and then four years at ANZ National Bank in the property and finance teams. His previous role at ANZ National Bank was as the property finance manager. Simon has been with Augusta since 2007.
Luke joined Augusta in January 2016 from Chapman Tripp where he spent 8 years in the corporate team where he advised on securities laws (including for Augusta’s syndications), mergers and acquisitions as well as general commercial and corporate advice. Luke completed his studies at the University of Otago where he graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honours) and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Chemistry). Luke’s role at Augusta is to oversee and advise on all legal aspects of the Augusta business.
Stephen is a Senior Development Manager, with a background in development, asset and project management. He is responsible for identifying, negotiating, planning and delivery of development and value-add opportunities across the existing Augusta and Asset Plus portfolio. Stephen joined KCL in 2007, which was acquired by Augusta in 2014 and he is the senior staff member responsible for the Christchurch office
Daniel is the most recent addition to the Development Team here at Augusta. Daniel has an extensive background in asset and development management, previously working for Goodman NZ, Mahony & Seton (London), and most recently private commercial development company Wallace Development Company Limited. Daniel will be working across a number of Augusta’s funds focusing on add-value opportunities.
Gavin joined Augusta in June 2019 as an Asset Manager for the South Island Portfolio. Gavin holds a Bachelor of Business Studies with a double major in Finance and Valuation & Property Management. Most recently Gavin has held roles with Ngai Tahu Property as a Senior Property Manager and prior to that with KCL Property as an Asset Manager.
Will joined the Augusta Asset Management Team in April 2019 and will be managing a number of properties in Auckland, Hastings and Christchurch. This management will include monitoring the overall performance of the properties and communicating that with investors. Prior to joining Augusta Will worked at Robt. Jones Holdings Limited, where he strategically managed several Auckland CBD office towers and their numerous tenants. Will holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Otago.
John started with Augusta in June 2020 and holds a Bachelor of Property and Bachelor of Commerce degree from The University of Auckland. Prior to Augusta, John spent 6 years with BP New Zealand as Development Manager overseeing their property portfolio and delivering new BP Connect sites across the country. As an Asset Manager, John manages a portfolio across the upper North Island ensuring optimum performance of the properties and communicating that with investors.
